The Serpentine

( HomeLondon → Hyde Park)

Hyde Park adjoins Kensington Gardens, and was originally a royal deer park, as set up by Henry VIII.  Hyde Park accommodates all tastes, and has a lake called the Serpentine, which is popular with people who want to go boating.  When I was there, a pop concert was taking place.  Hyde Park is of course where the Rolling Stones gave a famous public concert in 1969.

Hyde Park encourages games and all sorts of activities

It's usually fairly busy - this was on a Friday afternoon

But you can find quiet areas to visit too

Not the Rolling Stones, but good entertainment nonetheless
